Shantanu- The Hindu epic, Mahabharata tells that the Vasus, cursed by Vashishta had requested Ganga to be their mother. Ganga incarnated and became the wife of King Shantanu on condition that at no stage shall he question her actions, or she would leave him

Jains- Sallekhana (IAST: sallekhanā), also known as samlehna, santhara, samadhi-marana or sanyasana-marana, is a supplementary vow to the ethical code of conduct of Jainism. It is the religious practice of voluntarily fasting to death by gradually reducing the intake of food and liquids.

Saryu- The Sarayu river of India forms at the confluence of the Karnali (or Ghaghara) and Mahakali (or Sharda) in Bahraich District. The Mahakali or Sharda forms the western Indo-Nepal border. Ayodhya is situated on the banks of river Sarayu.

Arjun-  Babruvahana was the son of the Great Archer Arjuna from the MahaBharata. He was also more skilled than his Great Father himself. He was the child of Arjun and Chitrangada, the princess of Manipur. Arjun had met this Princess during his exile from his Kingdom, while on a pilgrimage tour.

Bhishma- In Mahabharata , Devavrata was the original name of the mighty warrior Bhishma .

Matsya- Dashavatara. Kalki, the last and final incarnation of Vishnu is expected. Matsya is the first of Vishnu’s many avatars and was one of the first physical beings of this world. Born as a fish in the Satya Yuga or Golden Age, it’s said that he rescued thefirst man in creation from a great flood that covered the world.

Karna was the eldest son of Kunti but he was not among the 5 Pandavas. Pandava’s were sons of  Pandu. Kunti was blessed to have sons from any God with a powerful mantra which she gained after serving Rishi Durvasa. Kunti decided to test the mantra out of her curiosity ,She summoned God Surya (Sun). The God Surya appeared and blessed her to have his son Karna.  Kunti was afraid to unveil Karna because she was unmarried ,so she abandoned him in a basket in a river. The basket reached a chariot driver who was bathing in the river he was amused to see the child with Kavach and Kundal. Karna was born with Kavach and Kundal as a blessing from his father Surya, which will protect him. The chariot diver adopted Karna.

Dakshayini was the incarnation of Adhi Shakti. She was the Daughter of  Prajapti Daksh. She is also called Sati.

karna- VRISHAKETHU WAS THE ONLY SON OF KARNA WHO SURVIVED THE HORRIFIC SLAUGHTER. HE LATER CAME UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF THE PANDAVAS. DURING THE CAMPAIGN THAT PROCEDED THE ASHVAMEDHA-YAGNA, VRISHAKETHU ACCOMPANIED ARJUNA AND PARTICIPATED IN THE BATTLES WITHSUDHAVA AND BABRUVAHANA.
