On November 4, 2018, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the iconic ‘Signature Bridge’. It is being dubbed as ‘Delhi’s Eiffel Tower’. The estimated cost of the project is: Rs. 1,594 crore. Built over Yamuna River, it will reduce the travel time between north and northeast Delhi and share the burden of the Wazirabad Bridge. It will also connect the Outer Ring Road on the western bank of the Yamuna river with Wazirabad Road on the eastern side.

It is heavy lift Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV MkIII-D2). The Main of This communication Satellite is to enhance the high-speed communication in Northern areas Jammu & Kashmir and other far distant areas. The GSAT-29 mission lifetime is over than 10 years.

The World Bank on October 31, 2018 released the Doing Business Report 2019 titled as ‘Doing Business 2019: Training for Reform’, assessing and ranking countries on the basis of ease of doing business in the year 2018. As per the 2019 Report, India jumped 23 places on the Ease of Doing Business Index to 77th rank, up from 100th rank last year.

On October 31, 2018, in the latest ranking of the Global Passport Index, The Indian passport was ranked 66th in the world. The position of 66 has been improved nine notches since the previous year and means that the Indian passport holders has been granted visa-free access to 66 countries. Other than India, Kyrgyzstan and Zimbabwe share the 66th rank. Singapore and Germany have the world’s “most powerful” passport with access to 165 countries. In the last place of the list is Afghanistan, ranked 91 with a score of 22, followed by Iraq at 90, Pakistan at 89 and Syria at 88 and Somalia at 87.

On October 31, 2018, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, Environment, Forest and Climate Change announced that the Kingdom of Netherlands will be the Partner Country 25th DST – CII Technology Summit to be organized in 2019. This was announced at the Silver Jubilee edition of Technology Summit – 2019. This is due to the cooperation between India and Netherlands in sectors such as affordable medical devices, urban water systems, big data and Internet of Things (IoT). The 25th Technology Summit -2019 will be made a global event and the visit of their Prime Minister to India in May 2018 has marked the 10th anniversary of Science, Technology & Innovation collaboration between the two countries.
