Enzymes are proteins that act as catalysts within the living cells. They are composed of one or more long chains of interconnected amino acids. They accelerate chemical reactions. All chemical reactions that occur in living organism are dependent on catalytic actions of enzymes and therefore, known as Bio transformation. Life would not exist without the presence of enzymes.
