The Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru was named the best regional airport in India and South Asia title in the 2022 Skytrax World Airport Awards.
The award is based on the feedback from the customers in a globally conducted survey about the experience from check-in to arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration, and arrangements at the departure gates. The Bengaluru airport had also won the Best Airport and Aviation Innovation Award at the Wings India Awards earlier.
