Collins Dictionary has chosen the term ‘NFT’ (short for the non-fungible token), as its word of the year 2021.  As per Collins, the word’s usage increased 11,000 percent.
There has been a surging interest in digital tokens that can sell for millions of dollars. Collins defines it as “a unique digital certificate, registered in a block-chain that is used to record the ownership of an asset such as an artwork or a collectible”.
