The Union Science and Technology minister Dr Harsh Vardhan announced the 2020 Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prizes on September 26, 2020 on the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The award is given for outstanding Indian work in the field of science and technology.
