The Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 was enacted by the Indian Parliament to prevent money laundering. The Indian Government has expanded the Prevention of Money-laundering Act (PMLA) to include transactions involving the exchange, transfer and safekeeping of virtual digital assets.
