In his address to the nation in Mann ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi talked on various topics including, Traditional Indian Indoor Games, Monsoon etc. While talking about the emergence of early monsoon in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cited the example of Kamegowda (an 82 year old ordinary farmer from Karnataka with remarkable achievements). Kamegowda Ji is known for making 14 ponds in the hills of Daasanadoddi village in Malavalli taluk of Mandya district. The Prime Minister emphasized on harvesting the Rain-Water in the monsoon season of 2020 with the exemplary real-life model of Kamegowda Ji.
