On 20th October 2022, the Government of India approved the construction of a cable-cum-suspension bridge under the Bharatmala Pariyojana project across the Krishna river, that connects Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, passing through the Nallamala forest range. The bridge across the Krishna river will be the first of its kind in India and the 2nd in the world.
